Duties

1. To collect all revenues for the County
2. To bill and collect all real estate and personal taxes in the County
3. Register all motor vehicles and boats with tax situs in the County
4. To issue driver licenses, C.D.L.’s, learner permits, I.D. cards, school permits, provisional operator permits, etc
5. To disburse collections to the proper political subdivisions
6. Title all motor vehicles and boats with situs in the county
7. Boat Registration
8. Snowmobile Registration

DMV Services is a Department of the State of Nebraska that is operated by the Treasurer Office.

Our office now accepts Debit/Credit cards for a method of payment on services within our office.

Registrations can be renewed online at www.clickdmv.ne.gov

Real Estate and Personal Property taxes can be paid online as well by Credit Card or E-Check. That website is Nebraska Taxes Online then click on Thurston County and enter the description needed. There is a service fee charged to the customer by the provider to process these transactions.

Payment Drop Box

There is a Thurston County Payment Drop Box located near the alley of the Courthouse.  A payment for transactions from all offices in the courthouse may use this Drop Box.  NO CASH, PLEASE!!
